Aldo Petillo (Rome 1939) studied architecture and engineering and achieved in London a Marketing Master’ degree.

In the 70’s he lives between Rome and London where he works as a consultant for Studio Valle and Agrotec among others.

In the 80’s he lives for a long period in West and South Africa where he works as a consultant on feasibility studies for the foreign market.

He comes back in Milan in 1986 where he begins the designer activity with a specific vision of scenerist for concept IDEA and megatrend. At present the professional interest regards both the design of industrial products and the design and setting of evolutionary scenery, exhibitions, events, corporate and concept. From 1991 to 1993 he designs and edits with Bruno Munari a workshop exhibition dedicated to childhood on the occasion of “Abitare il Tempo”.

In 1993 again with Munari for the cultural events of “Abitare il Tempo” he invites Ettore Sottsass and Alessandro Guerriero for a common project. He was and still is consultant and

art-director for several companies and prestigious brands in the automobile and furniture sectors, and in particular in the childhood one among which PRENATAL, CHICCO, LANCIA, PIAGGIO, FIAT, KOIZUMI, SEIBU BANK JAPAN.

In 1998 he gained the DESIGN AWARD INDUSTRIE of Hannover and the BOSTON GOOD DESIGN AWARD for the design of an electronic keyboard KORG ITALY.

In 2001-2002 he plans and defines the Corporate Image for the Japanese bank SEIBU. In addition to his professional activity he cooperates with Institutes and Universities among which the school of Architecture and the degree course in Industrial Design of the Politecnico of Milan, with the European Institute of Design, with the International School of Modena and the Domus Academy and the Politecnico Calzaturiero of Padova.

From 2003 to 2006 he leads the external team that collaborates to the project IDEA and to the definition of the furnishing harmonies of the FIAT 500.

In 2006 he conceives a sofa bed with an innovative mechanism for ADELE CASSINA.

In 2006 he designs the C.OVER organizer system covered by international patent, always in the same year he designs with the same system notes, bags and portfolios, a collection produced by GREENWITCH.

In 2007 C.OVER is selected for the compasso d’oro and inserted in the DESIGN INDEX.

In 2007 he designs a customized perfume anti-moth system for cars for the FRESHART.

In 2008/09 for the studio Cerri with Eliana Lorena he works on the internals of fast trains of the consortium NTV for the division materials, colours and finishes.

In 2008 for GREENWITCH he designs C.OVER NOMINATION.

In 2009 he designs for NAVA the W.W.W., the smallest portable table support for lap-top.
